Farkkkkk a decent modem makes a differnce.
Unfortunatly I ain't got lots of hard earned student dosh lining my pockets ala tama so I ain't got cable. But I finally have a modem that works thank gawd. Was getting sick of connecting at 28 (if i was lucky)
Now all I need is some new cranks and BB and once more I can throw my self off things without worring "now will this be 4 stitches or 6!!". For those saying ssip tosh, my cranks are currently at 1 and 6, making for a very good reminder of not long out stitches

(**whinge over**)

ok I gotta admit it's only the BB, the cranks are still in perfect nick despite being as old as the hills. I kid you not 2nd year XTR cranks, so they must be like oh (brain hurts from thinking) ummm errrr 6 or more????long time ways. Super light super strong. I just keep twisting ordinary BB's. But it can't be cos I'm heavy and don't ride like an XC nancy (just a DH nancy)

***if any one has an old BB that ain't bent they don't want I may be etnerally grateful and would lash loving from here to timbuktoo (it actually does exist as well and u thought ya mum was pulling ya leg)***

ah yeah, those old scholl XTR cranks are bombproof, thrashed a set for a year myself actually.

It's not usuallu the cranks that are the problem for me, it's the BB's, BRAND NEW North Shores on a BRAND NEW XT BB and second ride out did a wharf jump and snapped the BB. I was wild....  Satan

Hrm - yep - agree there - cable kicks esra over dsl. Although DSL over here is at least a bit better - you have a bunch of providers to chose from (and a nice web site to check out the performance of them all)....

Computers suck. Bikes rule. When was the last time a computer made you scream "WHOOOO! YEAH!" I mean, not including when you were looking at the Impostor Botty Competition just now..I should hope that most of us are only here on the web 'cuz we're stuck at work.

Without computers, and the stunningly brilliant and talented people who support them in so many ways, you wouldnt have the internet, there would be no foam...  Hmmmm

Computers are good.
