Have just sent this out to all registered Vorbii
This e-mail went out to all registered members of Vorb ( http://www.vorb.org.nz ). 2005 is going to see quite a change in Vorb and I wanted people to be able to have their say in what you want out of Vorb next year. If you have completely forgotten your username and/or password the link at the bottom of this e-mail will log you in to Vorb.
The big news is at the end of 2004 I'm leaving my day job (and regular paycheck) to focus more on Vorb and other mountain biking projects. This is a big leap and to make sure Vorb continues to thrive there's some things we want to ask you.
*Vorb 2005 Survey* - http://survey.vorb.org.nz
We want to work out who's visiting Vorb, and what they want from the site. This is to help us gain advertisers *and* to let us know how we should tune the site to "give the Vorbii want they want." The survey is only 30 questions long and there'll be five $50 Vorbshop vouchers going to lucky survey-fillers. Please encourage non-registered Vorb users to fill out the survey to.
*Send a Virtual Postcard to Vorb* - http://postcardto.vorb.org.nz
We want to hear from *you* - if you're online now, haven't visited in months, or have never posted - drop us a line to let you know how it's going. Make sure you're logged onto Vorb (link at the bottom of this e-mail) Click the link above, and tell us about a recent ride you've been on. It can be a couple of sentences, it can be pages of ravings, you can even attach photos. For a bit of bribery one random postcard sendee will get a big pack of Vorb goodies.
Thank you for your time. Here's some other stuff that may interest you:
*Disorderly Conduct + Genesis Movie Premieres* - http://movies.vorb.org.nz
Vorb and Spoke are holding premieres of two mountain bike movies - Disorderly Conduct(NWD5) and Genesis in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch over October. Mountain bike movies on the big screen rock and good times will be had by all who attend.
*Spoke Magazine* - http://spoke.vorb.org.nz
We're in the final production of Spoke14 (Spring 2004.) This issue is fatter (or is that phatter?) and features trails and trailbuilders from all over New Zealand. The link above gets you through to an online subscription page so you can be sure you never miss out.
*Faster Vorb* - http://lite.vorb.org.nz
Vorb Lite makes the pages load up to 5 times faster. Well worth checking out if you're on dial-up, or you just want Vorb to go hell fast.
*Vorbshop* - http://shop.vorb.org.nz
As Vorb will soon be running without the support of my paycheck please check out Vorbshop. There's DVDs, T-Shirts, Stickers and other stuff. Lot's of good Christmas pressies.
*Trail Conditions - Coming to Vorb* - http://trails.vorb.org.nz
It won't happen overnight but it will happen. Coming to Vorb later this year will be an online database of user-updated trail conditions. Find out where's muddy, where trees are down, and where the jumps have just been re-faced.
*Vorb Foundation* - http://foundation.vorb.org.nz
If you've made it this far through the e-mail I'm guessing you're one of the addicted Vorbii. Please check out about joining the Vorb Foundation. It helps Vorb and you get lots of special stuff to make you feel... well... special. Did I mention the 20% discount Foundation members get on almost everything in Vorbshop?
