Wish they would get warmer.

I've just returned from an out of the building meeting, and now I want to sit in the warm office and play Vorb rather than putting my skimpy clothes on and riding home.

Damn, it's cold out there!!!

Have to go drinking, but eager to get out there in time. Might be a bit wobbly though.

Having spent two weeks off the bike (out, damned cold! out, I say!), I'm not sure how good I'll be feeling going into the hills. So I don't have a charging ride in mind Smile

Myself and a friend turned up and waited a lil while but so no vorbers so we continued on and rode to the top of Makara Peak and then down again.

Starting out it was sooooo c c c c c cold, my fingers were soooo cold that they hurt, but once the blood got pumping it was all good Smile

yeah we only waited until 6:40pm as it was just a bit cold.

we did the ole koru to sally alley to missing link to Aratehi (or whatever it is called) to the top and then down ridgeline (which I have never done in the dark before and seemed a bit ruffer than last time I rode it) then down swig and then down that other track I have forgetton the name of to the bottom, lots o' fun!

To all those that didn't turn up - you lose suckas It was a perfectly clear and still night. There wasn't too much mud on the ground. And the top of deliverance had a veritable line...

...it was a bit nippy though...

...and what's with that "gravity well" on livewires? More like a bustop with a really slushy entrance Sly

Gravity Cavity? - may be Well is a better name if it is full of water.

Yep. Great night. I rode with the other people leaving from the Renouff Tennis Centre. About 14 of us last night.

* puddled around on Central Park single track (t'was good)
* up endless Brocklyn back streets and zig zag footpaths to (brocklyn needs a chair lift or esculators or something)
* single track at the windmill gate (hell I'm glad my rates money is well invested in shiny automated gates)
* up the fence line to the turbine (I cleaned that - no something I always do)
* CAR PARKS Big Grin (a little muddy in some of the dips.
* single track down towards Holloway and ultimately out on to Aro Street (have been down there before - it was good)
* bit more on the road before
* finshing with aonther dose of Central Park single track

All over just after 8 - too early to pack it in so I went and rode some steps around the city and took the long way home
* spoke to te policeman about the inadequate lights on my bike. Yes sir, I will buy some new batteries. finshing with ride up

* single track in the bottom of the Ngaio gorge.

Home at 9:45, tired and smiley faced.

Another great night ride. Way better than sitting watching the teev.
