Hello there,
I posted up here a while ago about coming over to NZ for some riding, well i got the flights booked and im ready to ride. I am going to be based around invercargill on the south island but should have a car and dont mind driving about. I just wanted to know the lowdown for riding around this area. obviously queenstown isnt too far away for the downhill fix but what other riding is available over there? I ride most DH / Freeride / Drops / Jumps etc. If anyone can help me out, it will be greatly appreciated. Cheers in advance!

There's isn't that much in the way of accessible/ shuttlable downhill in Queenstown - but Alexandra is on the way to Queenstown and it's shuttle-tastic. Wanaka has an excellent selection of trails, lots of which are freeride-esque. Naseby is a big playground filled with trails and nature freeride-y stuff.

Heya, yup Qtown has some good shuttling, jumps etc. Wanaka has some kick ass freeride, ladders, jumps, drops etc, not too mention some great shuttling too. Alex is pretty good too, some good long shuttles, fast rocky etc. Nasbey, havent been there in a while, not sure if its really freeride,i guess, def not downhill, but prob alot of good stuff to be found. Some dudes in Invercargill do a bit of travelling round and shuttle the bluff hill pretty regulary, just ask at the bike shops, oh and the ski lifts are opening soon!!
