In the end a series of remarkable "coincidences" happened, which appeared to prove both our personal theories on the effect of belief on matter.
(1) despite only drinking 2 pitchers of Pisco we both managed to get completely trashed, (2) the bar then started playing reggae and salsa (which we had wanted to hear all night, albeit not simultaneously mixed with 80's pop) (3) we made it down the stairs without touching the walls or apparently, the floor and (4) I picked up the interpreters hot friend while the musician claimed to have finally moved a rock.

Once under somewhat similar circumstances (apart from the Peruvian stuff; the pitchers of beer is fairly accurate) I managed to get myself home with no memory of having done so: astral travel!!!

I have heard that astral travel is an occasional side-effect of alcohol consumption, as is the aquiring of some sort of personal "force field". Obviously more research needs to be done, under carefully controlled conditions.

HDC: Pisco isn't fish, it's more like Tequila, or Whiskey, served with some sort of sour green liquid and topped with egg white.

Fish is Pescado. Double Thumbs Up Me gusta Ceviche!
