When I was away I got to use some really slow tihsty computers to access Foam. Because I have cable at home and LAN at work I don't notice these things.

There is a couple of cunning things I can do to speed Foam up, so I'm trying to gauge if the speed is a problem.

Any comments and such are welcome.

From home it's fine. From work, after about 10am, it's pretty terrible. But that's because our internal IT people aren't willing to accept that the performance is parc on their supposedly new and faster 8Mb/s connection.

I'll sort them out any day soon...  Sneaky

Foam access is absoloutly ka pai at home on DSL, it's slow at [parcpy and stupid and dumb] massey university wellington, again because of IT-department drateredness.

I have a 56k modem, but I only connect @ 28, oooh sometimes 31. But then again for al the talk about Z-free ending must be bullocks unless once again I am dreaming I am online. Not sure if it's the connection or the fact that my modem is flogged from immense overuse. Lots of music d/l's and nearly 2 gig of MTB videos. No you filthy pigs, thats bike nrop not people nrop, sheesh

At work its Ok but the IT Nazi's tell me I am not allowed to do naughty things at work like look at foaming madness.

By the way there is a position for an IT manger geek Nazi at work if anyone is interested.
