But they can't govern, labour can't even pass a bill by itself. They're left to rely on the greens, NZ First and United. Sneaky

I thought you knew everything.... maybe MMP is too complicated for you childrun? Smile

Maybe he missed it, But that is the point Hmmmm

Mark my words well, young Dou of the Gal. When the Supreme Helen Thingy says she will have a"durable and stable" government, she ain't just blithely posting on the interwebby Wink She probably won't be able to do anything radical, but then she probably doesn't want or need to. This term will be mainly about consolidating what Labour have done already.

Still living in the early nineties eh?

Should we give National the parc plastic trophy and book token prize for "most improved"? Richard Prebble observed that National ran a near perfect FPP campaign. But as a party they have failed to comprehend not only the changes in NZ society and politics over the last 10 years but also the changes in the Electoral system... Good riddance to bad rubbish...

I'd rather ACT were the main opposition party, at least they are capable of inclusion and intellectual rigour...

See some of those people don't like each other so much. Aunty Helen might be a strict baby sitter, but we'll see how well she can look after three kids who don't get along.

it is amazing they have been able to implement their pc, genderbending, compulsory omohsexuality, whale loving, overtaxing, motorcade speeding, compliance cost creating, treaty gravy train, civilunion, brothel loving, filthy commie, freedom and success hating agenda for the last 6 years ok without (by your definition) being able to govern.

It's called minority government and it's what we've had since 1996. Aunty Helen has managed to Govern very effectively in this same situation since 1999. You may know engineering Dougal but you sure do have a short memory for politics...
