yeap, about the only track at the moment, bumbed into a ranger last night while out riding and he said that all the tracks on the south side were now out of bounds for MTBs, both sides of the hill. sux coz in the summer it was great to ride to days bay and appreachiate the scenery (wink wink).

Oddly enough I lived at #35 Fraser Street, runs parallel to the Main Rd from the BP. My parents sold their place a couple of years ago & now live near the top of Brooklyn near panorama heights. It's the c**t of a road to get to the windmill. I was hoping they would keep my room as a shrine/marae/museum, but it seems they couldn't get the local iwi to get a grant. pity Eh?
Tall Beast is from Wainui as well, around Holland Street if I remember?
He explained the virtues of Nomads & BMX riding. Nothing sticks quite like a Nomad on a hot summers day.. Camel Nomads were very rare and appeared around the same time as the yellow/blue HMX 500's with plastic 5 spoke wheels. Both had a limited lifespan once punters moved on.
The Days Bay track is a beaut, get it on a wet day and it is a mission, as wet green clay is like teflon. Cry

yeah i was talking to sum guys on sat, they said they had been doing the decent thing and ripping them down.

graeme (sp?)from the HVMBC rung me last night about it, a friend of his works for WRC over at belmont and will be taking over on the easter habour park. and he knew nothing about anyone working over the eastern side. WRC when they take over will apparently administer it as it is now, so all the tracks are ours expect the two into days bay and one other which i cant remember which it is, york bay i think.

Yeah although it is a bit like the J-Lo 'jenny from the block' thing.. One of the main reasons why I took up riding bikes was to get out of Wainui Paranoid When I could drive it was the next step. Andrew played Bass... Blush

Owen how is the flat hunting going?
