 |
|
Hey.
Ive been looking for some software to use on my computer for realtime guitar effects processing. I found a program called Guitar FX Box but it has a delay of about half a second between playing the note and it coming out the speakers, which makes it very very hard to play with.
So do any vorbers out there use or know of any software that works better for guitar effects? Im not needing really hardout effects, just the basics like distortion, reverb, compressor, phaser etc.
Cheers
Tom

a friend has been playing with this stuff for ages and it's really really hard to get anything close to real time processing for guitar effects through the pc.
If you're looking for real time effects for playing live (not recording) then look at pedals, otherwise, record it clean and process it afterwards.
Could do some sweet reverb though...

Try GuitarFX, decent enough for a play and you can get a demo for free.

Rolands GR-20 or 33 synth, then the GK-3 midi pickup - A tad pricey but coming down since they were released, and
have improved their technology (latency and tracking response).
Overall DAMN cool! Was playing with one a couple of days ago and it was brilliant. Real crazy stuff playing your guitar and hearing a grand piano coming out of the amp, or an acoustic double bass, drums?? Highly recommend it
The other cheaper option would be to get a Shadow midi system, something like a SH-075, never used or seen them so can't give more details.
over n out.
