Coupla things which may help out the newbies and groms.... feel free to add constructive comments Smile

1. Editing posts (see attached picture)

Posting multiple times in a row when you forgot to add something to a message is an unneccessary waste of bandwidth and a tad annoying, simply edit your post using the edit button in the top right hand corner of the post. Double Thumbs Up

2. Repeated posts

Occasionally messages can be posted twice by accident, use the x button to remove your extra posts Smile

3. Derogatory Language

Using words to describe people or things using language which is sexist, racist, describes a persons sexual orientation or similar is unacceptable.

We do not want to push away any people who may fall into a category which your language is clearly offensive to.

Try some creative abuse, e.g.

4. Post whoring

See #1, keep posting of rubbish, off topic posts, tangental digressions etc to a minimum, you will know when you've posted too much, El Presidente has many covert operatives watching you! Sly

It wastes space and bandwidth, as Mother always said "If you don't have anything useful to say, say nothing at all".

If you must Posterohw the Pit is the place to be. Infoact there is even a thread just for Whor'n.

Damn you Bugle for making me post this! Big Grin

in regards to point #3.

calling someone 'g.a.y' is very boring, very stupid, and everyone is sick of reading it.

as for the sexism...

the groms of vorb should realise - there was a time when there were more men in womans clothing posting on vorb than there were actual women. The groms would be the first to say: 'where da ladies at', and then they'd be the first to say something that would make sure the ladies were NOT on vorb. Smile

be nice - respect your elders - the Grommit Wranglers are nearly twice the age of a lot of those pesky groms.... Satan
