It got half built as a step down last year, but didn't really work because it went nowhere. Going in the other direction means that it can be joined up with the down trails. |

Hmmm, 5ft up 15ft across? There is forestry road between the lip and the landing. |

That jump doesn't really point at the tree, there are just trees all around the track (it's a forest!), meaning that if you get out of control or go too big you are likely to end heading towards one of them at some stage. |

The video looks like the jump leads directly into the tree |

Oh well then it must then. That's what we did, we built a jump that points directly at a tree. |

Yup, dug by hand. You Auckland guys should shoot up for a ride one weekend. Lance will show you around. |

Just ride into it as fast as you can and see what happens. What have you got to lose? |

SlackBoy Tue 8/Mar/05 10:43am |
I've seen the jump, and it's def not built straight into the tree

Here's another vid of the step up giving a better impression of the gap. Also with marginal casage! |

Looks nice and big!
Whats the run in like? |
 |
|
E Dogg Capizzle Tue 8/Mar/05 3:14pm |
The run in is down a gravel forestry road, so lots of speed. Apparently he was spinning out coming into it in the first video. I like the nervous laughter you can hear at the end of the second one. |
