dehydration would have been a big factor, it gets super hot in the valley. i do alot of shooting in there, once it was 48degrees in the sun and 47 in the shade. My condolances to the family

It was super hot here in Marlborough on Saturday..today was pretty hot too..an as mentioned above the Kekerengu valley can be a heat-trap.

My condolences as well ,to family,friends and organizers.

Yep sad indeed, killing yourself doing what you love is always a risk but it doesn't and shouldn't stop you doing what ever your'e into. I wonder if the accident didn't happen at an organised event if it would have the same profile? I just hope that the only finger pointed is at the rider and not at the organiser. Event organisers help keep the sport going. Eh?
