While I haven't used a Kore I'd say a thomson seatpost is one of the few "bling" products worth buying.
I doubt anyone ever regretted buying a thomson post.

When I am riding there is no way I could tell what post was in there.

The only post I have regretted has been the cheap and cheerful post (phillips) in my DMR (very small 26.8 size) that bent in a very short space of time, the Thomson that replaced it has been sweet and not needed any thought
I am the first to admit that the Thomson in my DH bike is just wanton bling (ther is a bout 25mm showing

Been there, done that.
I've seen a lot of broken and bent seatposts working in a shop too.

I been dealing with the same shop for over 15 years now and I pretty much pay what he pay's for it and freight to get it to the shop.
Guess that's what you get for being extremely loyal!

You would know what sort of post you were riding on if it bent and snapped or the bolts sheared out the head of it like I have done to a post or 2. Guess that teaches you for buying cheap.... My nut's were black for ages

Hahaha I don't know if your being serious or not but sounds logical, although this post is going on the roadie so weight to a minimum would be nice

nice work, you won't regret buying one, just make sure you grease the bolts when you fit it (I have seen ham fisted home mechanics wreck the bolts by overtorqueing them dry) |
working on thomsons is one of the best reasons to buy a torque wrench - rated torque for those post bolts (and the stem bolts) is low enough to catch people out. Plus if you've got carbon bars in the stem again you don't want to crush them
the cheap ($100-ish) BBB torque wrench is a wise investment for anyone who regularly fiddles with their bike and has bling components
