Just after some info about what race people are entering so I know what grade to enter. Normally I ride D/E but don't really fancy only riding 30kms on Saturday. Was wandering if anyone who time trialed on Tuesday has entered the 60k support race and what time you did on Tuesday. This will give me some idea if I'll be able to hang on or if I'd just go out the back and be riding round by myself. I did a 26.39 on Tuesday.

That would be great... On Saturday it is the last Benchmark Tour Series for the year and on part of the same course are supporting races for other grades.
Marshals on foot at corners for both races, and some mobile teams moving in from of the main race are required please.
The Benchmark teams race of 142km sign on at 1100, racing at high noon from the town hall in Oxford. The supporting races will start after that race gets away, just after 12. So any help welcome and rewarded with a great day out and some petrol money. If you or your mates can help, please email to papanui-cc[at]paradise.net.nz
The support races are:
Seniors - 60/30km Graded Scratch
Juniors - 30/15km Graded Scratch -

Richard/Fowler memorials in Cust today.
Was sunny but windy on the course. I scored 4th on the 9 minute mark, four groups on different marks behind us. Some dude on a Cevelo some mark behind ours bridged to us solo early on, just after German road climb. He stayed with us awhile, attacked and stayed away for second place.
Shea from scratch, me and another guy on my mark chased fast down German road. The other guy got dropped on the last climb. Shea out sprinted me and came very close to Cervelo rider. A very young guy stayed away and won the race must have won by a bit I couldn’t see him on course.
Looks like that was the last long club race above 40ks on the 2008 road program glad I did it .

We had a good solid ride, nearly 5 hours in the Sun, plenty of hills followed up with a great coffee - doesn't get much better than that
