C'mon! A decade of Makara Peak! That's worth a ride to the top in any weather.

How about a stash of cream buns and bottled drinks at the top and a BBQ at the bottom. Then nobody has to sit around getting hypothermia (and we get fat at the top and bottom).

Well, the Karori Park rooms are already booked, so how about a compromise? BBQ at Karori Park (for those of us who want to sit around in the warmth), and I'll leave some treats at the shelter at the top for those who are keen for a ride? Smile

Of course, if the weather is fine, then we get to all be in the Skills Area! Double Thumbs Up

The rain is coming in over the Peak, so the party will be at the Karori Park Pavillion.

Just a few quick photos and thanks from today! Double Thumbs Up

* Thanks Simon Kennett, Andy Foster (and John and Ben) for the speeches - great to hear a bit about the history of Makara Peak MTB Park.
* Stu Bailey from the WCC for organising the rainy-day venue, PA system, tables, cones, etc. - wouldn't have been able to do it without you!
* The Makara Peak Supporters committee members who showed up early to help blow up balloons!
* A special mention to Zac for standing outside in the miserable weather tending to the BBQ
* GT and Specialized for their demo bikes
* Maxxis for the party games!
* And last but not least, Karori New World for the cake!
