Obama will win, and really he has no more or less chance of being assassinated than any other President. There might be more nutjobs trying to take him out but the SS always assume that there are, so what's the difference? It's a risk every Pres takes and just because he's black doesn't make him easier to hit... Wink

The media love interviewing Redneck Americans but I think those morans will be outweighed by the huge upswing in black and youth voters, all of whom will vote Obama.

Florida was the republicans using the court system to prevent a recount (in the best interest of democracy of course)

But yes, every where that had electronic voting booths had a large numbers of discrepancies (negative vote counts on some machines ect) that overwhelmingly favored the republicans.

It is looking good for Obama, likely though that the polls are over estimating him a bit, as its more often democrat voters who are unable to vote (voting conducted on a week day, so if your boss says your not allowed time off your pretty much kcufed).

The conspiracy theorist might also suggest that the bradley effect could be used to justify large scale electrol fraud.

Rubbish, you can pre-vote before election day just like you can here.

{Posted via mobile.vorb.org.nz} true, but you have to be pretty committed to make a special vote. And in my experience so far here, people are too apathetic to go to the trouble.

Early voting in many American states is running at record numbers. Some are supposedly at 25% of all enrolled voters having already voted.

Florida, interestingly enough, has added an extra four hours to the polling booths being open on election day, which is expected to favour Obama.

Fraud is always going to be an issue, especially with some states allowing people to enrol AND vote on the same day without any photo ID, but Obama's lead is strong enough that he fraud is going to have to be wide spread and in several swing states to changed the expected result.

Obama to win. Then the yanks will find out that although he may be a nice guy, his protectionist "policies" won't be much good for their economy, or anyone elses.

Still, cant be much worse than the present knobjocky

The more things change, they more they stay the same.

The GOP haven't exactly been putting their money where their mouth is when it comes to FTA's, so all we'll see is them going from paying only lip-service to free trade to not even bothering.

Still, perhaps now they'll join the ranks of civilized nations and get a half decent healthcare system instead of the abortion they currently have.

I don't see Obama making light of being president or anything. Seriously, what a stupid country.

Obama was on the daily show on Comedy central last week.

I enjoyed Palins comedy spot to on a Canadian radio station. To bad she wasn't in on the joke Big Grin
