I went for a wee blat on the hills around home and then out to the packhorse - great fun, always earned.

Gotta love the packhorse for the sweet forest section and then the sheep track trails to the hut Love and then knowing it's downhill all the way home ... almost Paranoid

Rode Wakamarina yesterday, Wakamarina is VERT's new favourite track!!!

Hey VERT- just wondering what Waka was like? I've heard there are a few trees down on it. Is it still fairly rideable?

The uphill before the wicked switchbacks downhill, there is heaps of windfall its a real mess up there. There was 1 section where a track was marked out around a lot of trees down, but it is pretty much a bike carrying mission right to the top of the hill.

Otherwise the uphill up to Fosters Clearing is all rideable, the Downhill from there and the Switchbacks and track out are all good

That doesn't sound too bad then. To be honest the only time I have ridden it, the track was clear but there was still a bit of pushing to the top of the switchbacks coz my legs were buggered! (we had left car at The Trout and ridden from there). Thanks for the info - there's a bunch of us in Nelson hoping to go over in a couple of weeks.

IMO a bit of bike carrying amounts to nothing compared to how good this track rides

Cross ride out at Sandy point.

Brutal headwind out to the point then a nice wee cross ride. Remembered how fun cross is. Roosters as you put the power down, drifts in the corners and epic spills...good times.

Rockyroad primo on way home was a life saver.

1. You shouldn't of gone to the doctors cause then you wouldn't of been told you couldn't ride.

2. Whats 'consuced' cause that word doesn't exist Eh?
