While not exactly the lightest thing around, this is my race bike.

20.24lb in it's current state - nobby nic/racing ralph, heavy F100s, heavy M540 pedals. With the new forks (09 Sids), different tyres (Schwalbe Furious Freds) and some CB 4ti pedals along with a wheel rebuild it will be high 18lb region ready to race. Just been out for my first ride on it - it FLIES up the hills. Can't wait to hit the tip track next week Big Grin

And sorry for the tihs photo. Blush

That bottle cage is slowing you down.

Err, right. What happend to the spark?

I reckon its time to smash everyone with an intense 6.6evp...

I'm trying to encourage the wife to get a job in a bike shop in melbourne next year. Then i can get lots of new bikes all the time too. I;m sure it will be dead easy.

maybe i should resurrect the xizang...

The Spark is sitting in a shed at work... [geek] depending on the race I'll swap between the scale and spark - most courses are just dandy on the hardtail, I'll prolly swap to the spark for Karapoti and any longer races[/geek].

But here's another pic Big Grin

I dunno...

I did some mashing tonight (out of the saddle big ring steez) and couldn't really feel any flex. In saying that I'm not sure my chicken legs would cause a frame much trouble anyway Huh

Nah, I like em. They're heavy and wide, but they feel good for me. Besides, a set of 90g bars would save me about 1/6th of a pound at the cost of control/comfort.

even worse - the ultimate fashion sin of risers with spacers above the stem to get them low.

If you want wide/low just get some of the new breed wide carbon flat bars (basically 0" risers)
