Got a road race on Saturday, Will see how the ground lies for a sunday ride as well. |
Will just be local Makara course pre-ride. Not doing a fat ride this weekend. You can come out for a couple of hours of banter.

Remembered you had my spare gloves the other day when I froze my hands off riding to work.
Are you coming along on Sunday for a recce on the round one course? |
Still got the gloves.. Really nice ones, we keep them by the toilet as we cant afford toilet paper due to the economic downturn.
I have a pair of Joels gloves as well.

I knew what you meant. I traded the makara AGM, weeding the section and the Simon Kennett talk for the ride on sunday morning.
I'm not under the thumb, but I do do whatever she wants.

To be honest the scalpel could be a bit lighter, they haven't gone all out yet.
Swap the FSA bar out for lighter, swap juicy ultimates for lighter and swap steel rotors for alloy rotors, full carbon seat and mavic's proto tubular wheels and I hear vredistein are knitting up some olympic special tubulars. Only problem is they might not be ready for testing let alone the race.
I reckon it could nearly make sub 8kilo
I'm not a weight weenie

True, just found that, I read somehwere that they were clincher ones but the dale website says otherwise. The weight of one race only tubies would be intersting

Travelling in style and carrying the lion's share of both me and Amie's kit. There was probably a couple of botles of plonk in there as well as steak for tea etc.

While not exactly the lightest thing around, this is my race bike.
20.24lb in it's current state - nobby nic/racing ralph, heavy F100s, heavy M540 pedals. With the new forks (09 Sids), different tyres (Schwalbe Furious Freds) and some CB 4ti pedals along with a wheel rebuild it will be high 18lb region ready to race. Just been out for my first ride on it - it FLIES up the hills. Can't wait to hit the tip track next week
And sorry for the tihs photo.
