then ask who he is dealing with so that you can call them directly.

Suppliers dont like it when shops muck people around, it reflects badly on their products. If he knows you are willing to go direct to the supplier with you concerns, he may just put in a bit more effort.

But! - first be nice. he may be getting the run around from the suppliers himself. get a date from him when he will have it sorted by. A fixed date, not *about* a week, but an actual date.

Being friendly is always first Smile

I waited 9 months for a sports throttle to come from America (mbike i know). Moral of the story, follow it up. Sometimes the stores get busy, sometimes the chap you're dealing with leaves, other times they just don't give a f*&^k. Good luck.

Remember that the warranty you have is with the bike shop not the importer. The shop gets it warrantied through the importer after the customer is sorted out.

I had a good long wait (6-8 weeks from memory) last time my RF cranks were replaced. Depends on whether they have to come from overseas or not. Though apparently mine were replaced by the Giant distributor of the time rather than the RF distributor.
