This is my mates 'road towner'. Far too flash for that I reckon, but then he has far too many flash bikes.
He has ditched the tensioner and is running a smaller chain ring now.
Not bad eh?

Tyres are Vittoria Cross XG - apparently they wear very quickly.

Yes, I have alfine envy. Internal geared hubs, there's just something about them that takes my fancy Blush

The rebas are especially silly - I told him to go rigid, but he already had the rebas lying around. I think he's going to venture offroad on it sometimes, hence the tyres.
He has a rather nice collection of bikes: blur, nomad, niner rip to name some, but the singular is my favourite. Not that I'm envious or anything.....

After much uming and aahing and general lazy/busyness, i finally got round to single speeding my '84 Morrison Monark Royale.

Really stoked with it now, just want to tidy it up a bit more; soft grip tape for my ageing hands, full de-grease and lube up etc..

Got it fixed on 42:17 which seems like a good option for Chch, and left the rear chain rings on if i need to change.

I'm Cool

Here is my ride, got it from the dump of $10 and only needed a new crank, tire, cables and chain. It's a single speed I have yet to remove the rear cluster as it's a screw on and don't know if I can get something to make it just have one ring on it.

Looks like:
http://www.reelight.com
Shipping 10 Euro.

Yeah they are pricy but no battery hassles. I got mine in europe.

They are always on which gets the cagers attention during the day too.
Supposedly maintenance free but the mount does wiggle a little as the magnet goes by.
