Hi there,

I have sold my bike and it is time for a new one. I had a trance and I am keen on getting another, however no LBS in wellington or manawatu have one in XL, the size I require. The problem is that Giant don't have any with them and wont be getting anymore until early next year.

So I'm after sugestions on what bike to get, I'm after a Trail/All mountain bike with around 5" travel.

Cheers

Nick

He should be able too, I know that last year the NZ speccy importer had several deal priced XL stumpy's left around this time of the year

my advice, ring pedal pushers in Palmy, ask for Lawrence, he'll sort you out a good deal Double Thumbs Up

Avanti Plus are all over, if there's one in the country they'd ship it to the nearest branch I'd think.

yes they are available im pretyy sure. 09 models are in now i believe aswell. and yeah Avanti Plus do send bikes around if theres the need. But i am pretty sure he will be a Large, last time i saw him (5 months or so ago) he was riding a medium trance and he was around 5'9" - 5'10" and i would be very suprised if he needs a XL now! he would have had to grow heaps! but he is saying he needs an XL

how tall are you now Nick?

Yep get a stumpy. if your 6ft tall you will be a large most probably. shouldnt be hard too find, your lbs should be able to get one from aussie if they have to at this time of the year.

I'm 6 foot two but am still growing...I sat on a large trance and it would fit me at the moment, just. With the seat at its maximum I still had a small amount of bend in my knee. Pookie I'll come in and have a look sometime, maybe tonight?

What about these Trek Fuel EX7 Types? Anyone may know anything about them?
