Whilst cycling along the road this morning I noticed some strage activity in the MTB Carpark.

A man (aged 50+, dark green jacket, dark trousers, carrying an umberella) was having a close and good look into all the cars in the carpark through their windows. Actually walking up to each one, peering in, then moving on to the next one, not just glancing as walking by.

Was on my fixie and on road tyres, so I was making no sound. As I went over a bump in the road my panniers made a noise, although he didnt look at me, at that precise moment he chose to quickly walk to the toilet and go inside. I did a few silent loops to see if he would appear but no, he stayed put.

So, if anyone had anything stolen from their cars this morning, or any other such strange things happening around 9:30 - I can give a more accurate description to the Police if required Smile

If nothing went missing this morning - let this be a warning that strange things are happening around the carpark and toilets Paranoid

With all that silence he probably thought you were a bicycling mega-ninja. I'd have gone and hidden in the toilets too Paranoid

Well done Thorg, very observant.

However, I am very disappointed in you. You're on a fixie and you couldn't pedal stand silently observing for any length of time, back down to singlespeed class for you boy Big Grin Big Grin

Word of wisdom, park closer to Allington end of South Karori road and get on your bike a little earlier. Peace of mind Smile

I am moving from a very convenient place in the units at the corner of South Karori and Allington Rd, out to Kelson in the coming weeks.

I'll be doing that as it's open and a very busy public area compared to the car park.

There was a rather spaced out dude wandering about the carpark on Sunday afternoon, I beleive that "gunslinger" might have photgraphed him after the ride as part of the scenery Smile

He seemd harmless enough, but who nose.
