Its on between Alex McGregor and Chris Nicholson to see who gets the fastest average speed in the tt remebering tht alex has 5ks further to travel and is limited to a 53/14 gear restriction also other contenders such as john alabaster of alexandra and former world champion could also be in the mix along with paul whitley whos riding eddy merckx style and also hates the bulltihs that gets thrown round on sites like this lol.
And its on its going to be interesting to see the final results.

Youth riders were to the fore on the opening day of the Lion Foundation national club road cycling championships in Wanganui today.
Taranaki’s Michael Torckler, competing in the under-23 division, proved fastest man on the day in the time trial.
He clocked a superb 52m35.8s for the 40km test to take out the under-23 honours by more than a minute from Morrinsville’s Eliot Crowther.
Torckler also outperformed the senior field, finishing 23 seconds faster than the winner, Aaron Strong (Counties Manukau).
Levin’s Gemma Dudley, a multi medallist in the recent world junior track championships had to work hard to edge out Tauranga’s Courtney Lowe by just five seconds to win the under-19 title in a slick 23m01s for the 15km event.
World junior representative Michael Vink (Pegasus) produced a superb ride to edge out fellow internationals Alex McGregor (Otago) and Jason Christie (Tinwald) to win the Under-19 men’s honours.
Vink clocked a superb 31:49.91 for the 25km journey to win by 34 seconds.
Marlborough’s Bronwen Fraser gave the Cuddon Club a boost with victory in the senior women when she out-performed Southland’s Dale Tye, clocking 35:36.5 for the 25km test.
The road races begin tomorrow with elite women on Saturday and elite men, featuring Beijing Olympic medallists Hayden Roulston, Jesse Sergent and Sam Bewley, on Sunday.
