Hi there;

so i've moved to welly recently; eventually got my bike and riding gear cleared by MAF and am now ready to rock 'n roll. wekk, that's if i haven't forgotten how to ride that is ...

i am staying in Te Aro just off Dixon and was wondering about the feasibility of hitting Mt Vic for morning rides before wasting the day away in an office.

Can anybody give me directions; remembering i am a virgin in this area so be specific plse, on the best access point(s), the best trail to ride for a morning jaunt. Would like to do 60 - 90 minutes in the morning. back at the apartment by 07:30 so i can cleanup and still get to work by 8.

Other than Mt Vic, what other riding can I access for short morning rides like this? How far is Makara Peak by bike from Dixon St/Taranaki St?
