Megan just won the sprints. Bit of a non event with only one of the women in her grade fronting. The rest were to too scared to race her. She did a PB on Dunc Gray and was the fastest woman in the tournement. Points Race to go. Will be hard work as she will be watched and no doubt riders will not want to leave the race to a sprint fest.

Jamie Bate from Auckland (30-34 years) just missed on a bronze medal in the sprint in two very close rides.

And Fergie, Manu’s with me, that winning a scratch race is more prestigous than winning the sprint! (something I remember discussing with you on vorb once!)

Megan won her Points Race. Not a bad week, 4 World Titles and PBs on Sydney in 200m, and personal PBs for 500m and 2000m. In 2009 Megan moves to the 45-49 age group where it looks like there will be more of a challenge in the sprint events. Next challenge taking on the youngsters for the NZ Elite Sprint Title!

Megan has declared she is never riding another Points Race or Pursuit.
