German broadcasters have been tihsty about pro-cycling for a couple of years.. it's more a pity for the cycling fans in Germany. whom as a broadcaster they are doing a disservice by getting on their high horse.

Maybe but mightn't the axing of the Tour of Germany be another example of the backlash against pro cycling cheats? Drugs was the reason I think T-Mobile gave and while not the reason Gerolsteiner gave, sponsors are pulling the plug. They do not want to be associated with a dirty sport.

Read a while ago that the German broadcasting minister was some Olympic athlete from the West Germany days...I'm sure she NEVER touched PEDs...
