So who is doing this race?
I did it last year and it was great. I have entered this year and was wondering if anyone has any idea how many women are entered in the pro section?

Hi Mary, How's Blenheim? Did it last year, but not this year.

For anyone considering it, it's not really downhill, and the hills through the gorge (Murch-Inangahua) are pretty reasonable, then once you get through that it's flat, but chances are it's into the sea breeze (ie head wind). That said the scenery throughout is pretty spectacular. Enjoy!

Blenheim's is good. Training is awesome up here - much more scenic than chch!
This was a bit of a last minute decision to enter Source to sea (not as last minute at le race and the graperide - the night b4!) so I have heaps of riding to do before the 8th

I'm doing it, really looking forwar to it. Havn't done an event with this many people for years. Our work is paying for lots of clients to ride the event so I've been asked to go and represent the Christchurch branch. It's a case of cycling being the new golf. My only target is to finish ahead of the managing director who is coming down from Auckland for it. Spoke to a few people and it sounds like it's quite hard if you ride it as a race but real amazing and not super tough if you just ride it for fun.

Yep I'm doing it and looking forward to it. It will only be my second ever event (did the wildcoaster as well this month). Just hoping for some decent weather... Double Thumbs Up
