Haven Mountain Bike Park is a 60 acre block of land just 30 minutes south of Christchurch nestled in beautiful Banks Peninsula. The McQueens Valley Mountain Bike Club (Inc) has been formed with the intent to build a world class mountain bike park in a restored native forest on this land.

This long-term vision will culminate in the land being available for the people of Canterbury to access intermediate level trails amongst native trees and plants on a historical piece of Banks Peninsula rock.

DIG DAY!!!! Double Thumbs Up

The weather is not quite as nice as we had hoped with the occassional spot of rain and reasonably low temperature, however Alastair has arrived and headed off down the track with a rock breaking bar, Shailer is busy with the scrub cutter taming the grass on the track and as soon as I have finished writing, I'm grabing my spade and grubber to attend to some track widening and back slope finishing.

So hope to see you out here soon.
