$30 seems a bit pricey for 6 runs when you have a van/ bus full of people when D days were only 20 for all day runs but a shuttle service is good to have
This weekend is a trial - Jeff needs to work lots of stuff out (turn around times etc.) before he confirm what the pricing plans are.

The Southstar service in Rotorua has a 100 uplift ticket for $200 which is awesome value for money in my mind. Cross fingers the same can be done down here.

damn that is awesome value Oooooooh Double Thumbs Up

Bowenvale Avenue. to get there you can go to the end of Columbo st by the cashmere hills. turn left at the roundabout, keep following the road (sorry forgot the name) and not too far down you'll get to Bowenvale Ave. theres a bridge over the river on the left and bowenvale ave is right beside the bridge on the right.

And is the turning circle right at the bottom where Bowenvale ends? Been trying to see it on Google maps but no luck LOL. Whole shuttling thing sounds great. I really hope it takes off over the summer Smile

Well if they decide to go for it then "Loopy" is not going to bother.

Either way it is all good that some form of shuttle service commits. I know the Loopy guys have a driver ( taxi van ) and trailer all T'd up so thats a spanner in the works for them Sad

Bah... A taxi van compared to a bus! Once you been on the southstar bus you will never get in a taxi again. I hope GC use the shuttle service on race days too.

I had really hoped to get into more pedaling this summer but now I'm not so sure!

Well I hope for your sake that "Southstar" commit because if they dont you potentially will be getting plenty of pedalling in or shuttling yourself Crazy

Remember: This is a trial so it may not happen Sad

People would be silly not to buy a season pass and use the service. The cost, hassle and dangers (road cyclists) of shuttling yourself is just not worth it when there is a bus service. I reckon over summer it would definitely be used. Have you seen how many groms mums are queued up at bowenvale in the weekends!
