The Westland Mountain Bike Club, formerly known as the Hokitika MTB Club has a membership of over 60 enthusiastic riders. The Club has organized rides through the winter months on the multitude of tracks up and down the West Coast, e.g. Denniston Mine Site, Croesus track, Kaniere Water Race are a couple of the popular tracks.
The vision of the Westland MTB Club is to effectively manage and build suitable riding tracks for all levels of riding from beginners and kids to the seasoned professional, and to continue to actively build membership.
The Central purpose of the club is defined as: great trails, great rides, great events, with a focus on an excellent MTB facility that caters for riders of all abilities, from kids through to the older generation.
