I'd think twice about that cooler logger. have you read B_series_power's thread on NZhondas where he put one on, took it for a test drive and the oil pump shat itself?? quite a common thing to do with the extra pressure on it. IIRC you dont do a huge amount of racing or anything like that, so i dont see the need.

Yeah I read that thread, I know a few people down here with oil coolers and they have no issues. Last time I was on the track oil temps reached 150C which is too gnikcuf high for me!!.
Oh and who are you on NZH? You're not Green Machine I know that for sure.

A good external Oil cooler kit the Boss that fits to the original Filter housing should have a thermostat so will only feed oil to the rad when it needs to.
There wouldn't be any reason the Oil pump would die by fitting the cooler either person would have done something wrong.

Logger
Add as much Oil as you can down the lines into the cooler etc... when fitting to just to help the pump out.

Yea, i guess his oil pump musta been a bit tired anywho to go almost instantly but its still putting extra pressure on it. Good to hear (read?) that you have a thermostatically controlled one (whoa big words)
Im evilknieval69 over there, have about 20 posts lol. just a lurker Green machine lives just round the corner

I hate not being able to do nice jobs on the car, because I'm busy doing something else. I hate it more when I am busy and I have to do an un-nice job at the same time
I have to replace a Power steering line on the van (neato) and can't find a second hand one, don't fancy pricing a new one. So it looks like its going to need to be made up, Bugger. Really suck cause if I had a gas plant I could have done a repair job that would have worked

Pump has to work harder to move the oil thru all the extra tubing and of course the radiator will slow the oil down as well.
