or clean for what he had a TUE for!

Eh?

TUE = Therapeutic Use Exemption these are for items on the banned list are allowed for save your life reasons, Like all the asthmatics that have appeared over the last few years.

I have heard (not seen) that Armstrongs TUE book is the size of a phone book

Is that a suprise to you after having cancer as bad as his? Lets be real here.

Wonder what Lemonds one was like?

No... they are French.

And from what i've read, there maybe enough urine to perform a drug test, but not enough for a B sample. I can see where Lance is coming from! kcuf that I reckon

if they have the test samples they would have a B sample, That will be a sample only touched by armstrong and sealed in tamper proof bottles by Armstrong. The B sample is only opened in the event of a positive A sample. And Armstrong can be present for the re testing. What Armstrong is saying is that the storage of the samples may not have been ideal and could cause changes to the sample, but I dont know if that is just speculation or he knows how they were stored.

Im not saying he is a cheat, but then neither was Carl Lewis!!!

It's all tall poppy syndrome with Lance though isn't it... Someone can't be that good with out drugs. Same thing happened to Ian Thorpe, nothing but clean samples and they all thought he was a drug cheat. I just think people are jealous of others talents.

i am not saying lance was clean or dirty. but i do understand why the questions are asked, the man dominated in an era when doping was absolutely rife. Now that in itself does not say he was doping/cheating.. but unfortunately fuels the rumours and spite.

the best thing he can do now, is what he is doing. i do hope he does come back and win or be competitive at the pointy end at least.. with the results all continuing to show him clean

Again I concur, there are a lot of very jealous riders and coaches. Wink

lol if lance armstong can beat all these dudes that have been caught doping, then he's on the juice as well, just hasn't been caught yet, or the UCI don't want to catch him cause he's the roadiegaf posterboy

We could flog this some more for fun, or we could settle on this fact:
None of you spent anytime whatsoever with the subject of this dispute, (and likely have spent NO time in euro pro cycling either!) So, with all due respect, spare us your exceedingly painful, illogical arguments, brainless conjecture and regurgitated media releases from LA Inc.
And lay off Lemond. You really have no freaking idea what the bloody hell you're talking about.
Oh, wait this is an internet forum. Filled with anonymous opinions and insults. The home of true upstanding citizens.
If anyone would like to discuss this in person, perhaps a support group for people who obsess about people they don't actually know. Stick to Women's Weekly.

Oh, and might I add this:
Marion Jones never tested positive. AND track and field athletes have always been subject to far more out of competition tests than any pro cyclist---bar none! And they don't donate money to the UCI's drug testing program.
