Riis needs to be answering questions about why he was accompanying riders to see Dr Fuentes as well. I'm really starting to doubt shifty Mr 60's "anti-doping" stance.

This bit stands out for me in the article...

"...a payment of nearly 7,000 euro to a bank account belonging to Operación Puerto doctor Eufemiano Fuentes back in 2006.
Schleck further said that he "has never received, nor made use of any services from these people – including Eufemiano Fuentes, whom he has never met..."

I am sure he gets paid well but even so, if you were on his salary and you paid $7k for something, would you not be following it up if 2yrs later you had received absolutely nothing? my bet is that he got whatever he was that he paid for that year, no wonder he's okay offering his DNA now as the drugs / scandal in question here was over 2yrs ago! He has probably got clean by now, after all this years tour was a few months back and he's had plenty of time to clean himself up.

He did get something for his €7k... he got training "advice".

Now Frank... would you like a 2 year suspension to go with your shonky recollection of events?

But it doesn't sound like he thinks that he got any training advice, let alone anything else ??!

How much do you get for 7K? I seem to recall Ullrich was pinged for transactions of 60-70K over several years

Admittedly 7K isn't that much when a months course of EPO is aledgedly higher and Lance Armstrong was supposedly paying Chris Carmichael $50K a year as a coach.

But that's the only payment they have found. Doesn't mean that there were others that were better hidden. Drug takers have to be pretty smart to cover their tracks to avoid testing and the journos snooping around.

would be interesting if they looked at his fathers bank account details! I am with fergie, these guys would not be paying large sums from their own accounts... if they have two brain cells to rub together, it would be quite a transaction trail to find out the end destination.

although as has been said before, just because you can ride a bike fast.. does not mean your well endowed with intelligence.

Thats true 7k is a big night on the ssip at the end of the year.
Still the moneys was paid and he needs to justify the payment regardless.
I am so cynical with these things that in my mind he is guilty, I would like to hope he is not guilty but its just not in my nature.

I'm fairly sure the police will be attempting to go from Fuentes end to trace moneys. If it came from Schleck personally, it ALMOST makes him more credible. Suirely no one is that stupid?
