Don't think so. There was an article recently that talked about the redevelopment work the council is doing along the creek and the mess that this left during the winter. This has only affected a small amount of the tracks east of the dam by the creek. The tracks will be repaired.

I'm pretty sure that there is no plan to wipe out all the tracks. There would be more than a small article from an annoyed mtbr if there was.

hey there guys, apparently from what one of my mates told me, the whole or most of the scenics mtb tracks are being bulldozed? its what he read in the paper?! i hope not because its pretty much the only mtb tracks close to town in timaru. Any information would be greatly appreciated. cheers James

Good riding conditions generally at the moment. Bridge built for last years 12hr still out following the heavy rains this winter. But the walking bridge with steps next to it is still open. Working party due to repair soon..

Council damaged one of the tracks beside the creek east of pond with their redevelopment work over winter. This is still to be repaired.

There is little impact really with regard to the quality of the ride though throughout the reserve.
