On the granny tabs I would have thought 22 would be it, on the big / middle 32T is the minimum that will fit

what are you looking to do?

I was thinking of running a micro drive sort of thing similar to a BMX on my hardtail, but discovered i would have to buy new cranks and cant afford, and wanted to buy a small mtb chainring for the crank.

Then i discovered that i have a 26t lying around which is perfect for my 12t rear.

New question, what do you think of the idea of running singlespeed with the chainring on granny tab on the crank? It should be fine right?

Trials guys have done it for years, just keep any eye on chain / cog wear, as everything will wear faster with "micro drive"

oh and are you sure that you 26T is 4 bolt?, that would be an unusual size , I have seen them around, but its not common

Dependin on the rear hub.

If you're gonna use a SS specific rear hub the chainline might be a bit tihs. With a plain flavoured rear hub it will be fine with a bit of spacer shuffling.

a 118 ISIS BB should pretty much sort the chain line out (presuming that his hussefelts are ISIS)

Nice one. Was just a thought, as I've seen some SS rear hubs with SFA room to move on the freehub body to get a good chainline. Chances are he'll be using a reguar hub anyway Big Grin

Yeah its a 26t 4 Bolt definately. Came off my stinky when i switched to a chainguide.

And yeah its a regular hub, so i can move the rear chainring in more to align the crank...

Do you have a picture of a trials person doing it? I just want to see if its ugly with the extra part of the crank sticking out

On my trials bike I've got a small bashy that bolts to the middle spider, and so will most trials riders
