yeah the down hill needs to be looked into, it was far too short before it was logged. Make it more windy maybe some tighter bermed corners??? Im hoping to head out sunday have a look about see what needs doing to get a DH track started to be rebuilt and see what the other tracks are looking like.

And make it so that there is a path off the main track for pushing back to the top again!
There's nothing worse than walking to the top and coming around a corner to see a DH rig bearing down on you...
I don't know what it looks like out there at the moment but if there is no trees and the ground is all dug up then now would be the time to build wooden structures...
I will have to get soccer_pro to get in touch because he is keen to get the DH track rebuilt, its just a matter of finding a time to go out there and do a planning session.

So just keeping between the fence line and the gully?? there should be a heap of logs and stuff kicking around up there for building stuctures and stuff seeing as it has been logged only problem with them is that they aren't tanalised so would need to be replaced every now and again

I've been out there and it's looking pretty bad. The downhill track has been destroyed, kaimai qwicky has no end to it and im guessing neither does stickys revenge. The track to the right of the carpark has also been demolished and it has branches covering a lot of other tracks.

I got a few photos of the damage out at the downhill track. ill post some more later

Well there are plenty of sticks and logs around to make some mean jumps. It's amazing how open it is. If we had a bulldozer you could just pretty much mow a track all the way down the hill.

Aparently the council dont want any more tracks out there!
I was talking to Mark @ kaimais yesterday and he say the council wants us to only maintain what we have got.
I thing we will end up building more anyway, the council wont find out for a while.
