Yes, I'm running 2 sets - one pair laced to pro 2s on my single speed, the other pair laced to CKs on the Heckler.

I was in a similar situation to yours, rolling tyres around on narrow rims - I was using 819s and 2.3 tyres at low pressures.

Now running 2.4 NNs on the Flows and I don't know that I'd change anything about the setup - it's nice and light for a trailbike but plenty strong for how I ride. IMO the cost of the Stans rims is well justified.

Anyone know where I can get hold of a black 719 mavic rim - 36 hole?

Burkes only have 32 listed, and google has failed me....

Nah, too burly / overkill for what I will be doing.looking for a mid range rim togo with a 36h revolver SS rear hub. XM719 seems to tick all the boxes.

Try CRC for a custom wheel build.. Ive got a set of revolver single speed hubs on Deevee's for 350ish?

Good deal in my opinion. Gonna hit order soon. if your keen to go for CRC we could do it on the same order and then we might get free shipping! w00tzors

in mavic could be worth looking at the 'new' EN521 (not to be confused with the 'old' d521 which became the new EX721) - same width as a EX721 but lighter (540g vs 590g) - still welded (just not maxtal like the 721)

hopefully mavic will release a en721 disc- or even better a en821 disk. By doing this they could make a lighter more all mountain friendly version of the en521 disc(which I can recomend highly) by using their flash alloy and shaving 30% of the weight to make it more like 380g Double Thumbs Up

Im similar weight...Currently got Syncros DP25(mm) rims but gonna get DP28(mm),540grams...for the 2.35s I'm running.

On really hard cornering the tyres feel like theyre peeling off..

M8 has just got Funn xler8 rims..made by Sun ringle and under 520grams...see to be holding up.

Not a bad idea , although once you spend enogh to get free shipping odds on you will get pinged for duty - no such thing as free lunch Sneaky

I would like to buy the rims local - ideally off whoever I get to lace the rims Yar I already have a set of revolvers, and a very purdy white industries freewheel.

Another vote for EN521 here, mine held up well to Whistler and the shore.

I agree with kerianC, they would be even better if they were the flash "maxtal" alloy

Hadnt thought of the 521s, they could be a go, and hopefully a bit cheaper as well...

an en821 makes so much sense - the trusty xm819 is starting to look a bit narrow for 'all mountain use' . an en823 would be even nicer Double Thumbs Up

actually rode my near rear wheel yesterday (en521 on a nukeproof) - amazing what a difference a mere 4mm of rim width makes (was running 2.3 eskars on 17mm xc rims - possibly not the best Blush )
