 |
|
I have started building and selling some trail tools to help build and maintaining mtb tracks.
First tools are made using recycled disc plow blades with new fibreglass handles.
All profits if any go back into track work and more tools.
Short handle digging hoe with flat head for pegs is $80.
Long handle clearing hoe is $70.
Price includeds GST but not shipping that should only be around $5.
Email for orders and tools are made in batch's so can be a week or so for delivery.

I can get them from PSL and they cost $80 plus GST and Shipping.
I am trying to make one out of the same disc blades and a fiberclass handled axe should only cost $70 including gst but the handles will not be replacable at this stage.

i'll take another 4X of the 150mm grubbers (same as the one you sent last time)
send me through the details and i'll deposit the money ASAP.
Yes they are that good, im going to stick some in stock.
On sunday i pretty much single hanndedly reopened 70% of an old DH track.
With that one tool i could cut the bare minium of grass of the surface without removing soil, chop through loads of shrubby gourse , chissel cambers and berms into shape, dig soil and rake small amounts.
The best thing of all is its light ,which means hours more time getting stuff cleared.
Easily the best trail maintenance tool around
(note: not much good in rock or large gravel)

No worries Mike. I had just finished a batch but I surpose I can make some more for you this weekend. I am on the ssip most nights this week, its xmas ah.
Will send down a fix for that other tool we talked about. ; )
Have a look at this new tool I am playing with, I call it the "HAMMER HOE!" it is for trail and timber work like retain walls and bridges. Should be able to hammer in steel standards and then nail the timber to them and if you fuch up you can even pull nails with it.

love the extra protection on the handle for those times when you miss bashing the warratah, just nice and tidy unlike tubes.
Only thing is you have now really sold me on the importance of light tools , not sure id use this as a grubber much it'd be a bit of work to use, but it could work on roots nicelly.

Its just a prototype at the moment. And yes it is quite abit heavyer to carry. I made the hoe blade a bit norrower too. So it would deal to roots.
