Capital Publishers; Capital Times city newspaper and ArtZone magazine are currently after a Graphic Designer/Desktop Publisher.
You'll have the advantage of working in Mt Victoria, Wellington. 3 minute walk from Courtenay Place and an hour for lunch, a great opportunity to go for a sift down Mt Vic or a spin around the waterfront.

You'll need to be able to work to deadline and use Graphic Design software such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Corel Draw.

Feel free to PM me for more info.

I shall have to do a finale sift down Mt Vic before I leave.
My new job will be out in Ngauranga in a few weeks time Sad

I suppose the ideal person for the role has a reasonable amount of knowledge with the software, has good Pre-Press knowledge and a bit of design flair. Double Thumbs Up

No, we mainly use InDesign but we have archives of old files from when people used to use Corel Draw. I prefer InDesign Love

CS4 is coming out in a few weeks too:

I have Flash CS3 at home. Are there any decent online tutorials for beginners anywhere?

The graphics side of things is not that different to Illustrator.

Good free tutorials can be found here (their paid tutorials are good too):

There are some good books available in pdf form, and the usual lynda.com goodness if you have broadband....
