We are definitely coming over in the next month to ride Ben Nevis..
My father who lives in Nelson has offered to shuttle.
I wondered how long(time wise) from the top of the trail to where-ever it comes...
i guess the first run will be slowest, given I have no idea what to expect.

5 minutes??
Its that short??
I guess we'd start at the highest possible point, be silly to only start halfway.so would that be 15-20 minutes...riding pretty aggressively on 5-6 inch trail bikes?

yeah it definately pays to have everything well sorted with your shuttle driver how far you are descending with each run and where to meet. i've done runs up there that we've wondered where the hell everyone was.
let us know when you are over mitch - might be able to hook up if im around at that time.
not sure what starting point they'll use on race day - it probably hinges on what trucks will be used as last section of road to the top is pretty much 4wd these days.
