Calendar Event: September 28, 2008 - October 26, 2008
Interval: 2 weeks
Repeat: 3x

Some time ago the Upper Hutt City Council went through and removed a lot more of the remaining pine trees from the upper section of hillside. In doing so they pretty much annihilated the downhill track and cut off access to the freeride track.

The Wellington Mountain Bike Club , lead by Jordan Moss (CyaNIDe) are in the process of reinstating the some of the old track and adding a few new lines and features. The Hutt Council is keen to throw a digger and all the soil needed to get the job done too.

Come along help out and we will shout you some lunch for your efforts too.

Everyone will be meeting at the bottom of the course at 9:45am and walk up from there at 10:00am and will stop for lunch at around 1pm.

We have some tools but it might be a good idea to bring some of your own in case we get a big turn out.

No, there is a thread about it where jordan has been asking for support. He will probably post there a few days before he plans to head up there.

Okay Guys and gals - you choose which one you are.

We will be digging up at Maidstone this weekend on Sunday 28th of Sept. We will be meeting at the bottom of the track as usual, at 9:45 before heading up the track at 10.

We have had some major developments recently, as we have had a digger up there during the week. Acording to our ranger friend, he has cleared a few areas of rough track, and pushed some of the parc logs out of the way for us.

We have also had some dirt dumped up at the track. We will be concentrating on getting the first jumps built, and cleaning up the first couple of berms.

If anyone has a wheelbarrow which they can bring along, please do so. I will get the top gate unlocked, so those who choose to can park at the top.

The Wellington MTB Club, being the generous club they are, will be supplying lunch.

Come along and give us a hand.

P.s. Can all the locals please leave the dirt alone untill we get up there this weekend. I am stoked how keen you guys are to get into it, just want to get it all done right the first time. Once we have planned out what needs putting where, i will let you guys loose to dump dirt where you think it needs going.

Cheers everyone.
