Don't get your hopes up too soon.
The Mountain Bike NZ office is moving up to Wellington and nothing will be happening / announced before then, i imagine.

that would be cool, they used to have a dual national series so each round had a dual track. weve still got the one in nelson although its had lots of alterations.

a 4x series would kick esra seriously, i mean every town should a have a bit of council land to build a track on

it would be wicked though

i would not say it is that clubs are not interested, more of not having the time/resource to build maintain a 4x track... i mean it would take a fair amount of initial and on-going effort, when clubs are allready concentrating on keeping club XC/DH races going.

Perhaps if 4x racing operated in the model of BMX tracks where there is a club specifically created to run races on it, and they would look after maintenaince etc... although problem with that is that there probably might not enough of a rider base to justify that kind of setup?

cheers

My hope is that the BMX track in Welly will start to build a larger base of BSX capable riders - which will push out to events such as the Castlerock and Rotorua BSXs - and then get the local momentum to build a Welly BSX track.

I've already got a site in mind Tongue it - and I think it's right in Joel's neighbourhood for daily practise runs Double Thumbs Up
