I have to say, what a great day! The weather was perfect, and we had a great turnout. Hard to believe that 7 days out from the event I almost pulled the pin as we were looking down the barrell of a spectacular loss with only 5 people pre-entered.
Seemed like there was a great vibe all day, and I havent heard any negative feedback at this stage.
I realised on the drive home, that I forgot to thank all my volunteers at the prizegiving, so will single them out for special mention now.
For course marshalling today, Sandra, Graeme, Dave and Ian. For First Aid crew, Marty and Chrissi. For the timing crews, Megan, Alex and Steve. For yesterdays course marking, Martyn (also thanks for welding up the trophies buddy), Paul, Pete, Luke, Matt (also for the BBQ today, thanks again), Andrew, Christian, Karl, all the boys, and whoever else I have forgotten there. Couldnt have done it without ya's
We ran the event at a break-even, and still gave a donation to Summerhill of $130, and handed out cash at prizegiving of $360.
