He doesn't, and it says SFA about the rules. Hopefully he'll have to comply with them like everyone else, when he races over here, otherwise there's a totally unfair double standard going on.

its funny how the groms say they hate riding in gloves when in reality theyre only six years old and have never even ridden in gloves anyway because when they started riding it was cool not to wear them.

Ummm no your wrong buddy. Yea it may be true for some people, but the ones who are serious about racing try things to see what's best for them. Sam B wore gloves for a bit, then decided they're not for him so stopped. He's not 6 mate and some of the people complaining, are in fact pretty damn quick for their age. So don't go making judgments when you don't know. I find it kinda rude actually.

yea i agree different things work for different people but the fact that at least 95% of the fastest downhill racers in the world wear gloves must also mean something to. think about it.

k someone just clear this up.
if your a junior and you wear long pants can you wear just knee pads or is it plastic knee/shin pads?
same with elbow if you wear a long sleeve shirt can you just wear a material elbow pad such as 661 evo pad or is it plastic elbow and forearm protecters under a long sleeve shirt

As i see it :
Junior:
-Elbows must be protected with any appropriate pad irrelevant of long or sort sleeve.
-Knees must be protected with any appropriate pad irrelevant of pants or shorts
Senior
-Elbows must either be covered with jersey or protected with appropriate pad
-Knees must be protected if full length pants are not worn.
Full finger gloves manditory for both.

No more "must be knee and shin" or "Must be hard cover" rules

I don't like the way you assume it's only the younger guys who don't want to wear gloves, people do what they can to help them ride better and some people, me included, feel that gloves are just get in the way and definitely aren't an essential piece of safety equipment with obvious benefits like body armour or knee shins.

Hi, My favourite rider on the this planet station in the galaxy called the milky way is currently Sam Blenkinsop. I am a proud New Zealander ever since i was deported from my home country 7 years ago and as you may know my favourite rider (Sam Blenkinsop) is from New Zealand. Sam Blenkinsop does not wear gloves so I would like to follow his example and not wear gloves too because i feel that his example is good and very much non childish. Another rider that does not wear gloves is my second favourite rider Recita the Horse who does not wear gloves on her hooves. And thus ends the tale of the gloves that would not fit on the lumberjacks hands

I think people should be happy with these. i like riding without gloves too but im just glad that they didnt make shin, forearm, spine, chest and neck protection compulsary. I believe those (appart from neck) are compulsary in some european countries.
Gloves are a hell of a lot less of an inconvenience that a full body suit is. Get over it.
