Everyone must wear full length gloves. Even if you think that it's more slippy when you've got mud everywhere, or if you think that you get better feel with bare hands.

I can understand why they have put in place all the rules execpt that one, gloves dont protect you at all

If your gonna skin your hands more than just a little scratch that needs a plaster, chances are the gloves will get just as stuffed as your hand

your an idiot, have you ever crashed onto gravel with your hands taking the full brunt of the impact? its enough to put you out of racing for a couple of weeks so gloves are definatly worth the investment if it means you dont have to miss out on two rounds of nationals which you have already pre paid everything for, its $50 to save a few hundred probably

you lads have obviously never grashed on gravel or any hard surface. ive got a good chunk out of my palm from slipping down a berm at the bmx track. i was standing still when i slipped. Gloces saves your hands for pretty severe grazing. you cant ride with no skin on your palms.
I also like to ride with no gloves in summer but i dont see it as a necessity.

Yes I have, the gloves I was wearing got cut up and didn't do much at all to prevent my hands from losing a hell of a lot of flesh, I doubt my hand would have been any better off if I wernt wearing gloves, bringing me to the point I tried to make, gloves don't protect you very well

but I can see wear your coming from, anything to prevent an injury is a good thing

I've trashed several pairs of gloves from crashing. But I've also gone for a nice wee slide without gloves, in the same place I crashed the week before with gloves (and nowt happened cept for naffed gloves) and took all the skin off both my palms. No masty for several weeks, I wouldn't wish that on anyone

I propose a game of chicken. We each put $200 into a hat. Then, we place the palm of our hands (mine gloved, yours bare) on a moving belt sander at the same moment. The last one to take their hand off wins the kitty.
