, did the infamous yellow sticker crew actually achieve anything? Not that i know of

yep they did, arch hill! it's not going to be great, but it's a start, if they didn't do what they did at western spring then i don't think this first track at arch hill which has been approved by the acc would have gone ahead. Grafton Gully was going to be a great place for aucklanders to ride in the city, until they needed some crazy amount of money to build a fence so that people in cars on the motorway didn't see people on bikes having fun, and crash !!

i don't think riding on mt eden is gona help, find a little bit of bush and make some lines.
all your gona do is stop some street bum from camping out there with his spray can Smile

On the skate park thing…

This comparison seems to pop up quite a bit in here. “the skaters got their parks by skating anywhere, if we do the same we will too…”. The problem is that skate parks are small and almost always built on “waste” land. i.e. land which isn’t fit to be used for anything else – typically old land fills, other industrial areas where the land has numerous issues (geotech etc).

How much land do the bikers want, and what proportion of the available land would be appropriate – the answer is 3/10’s of kcuf all.

Having said that, time to get back at the NZTA for access to grafton gully… with the merger it is an ideal time.
