I gots a question for youtube guru types.

I need to get something uploaded in a hurry, and hopefully right the first time.

Finishing up a video clip in square pixel 16x9 PAL (1024x576 25p), and need to put a version up on you tube.

Should I just upload something downsampled but still in 16x9 and hope youtube can sort it out, or should I put black bars on it myself to get it to 4x3 and upload that?
What is the optimal resolution for a youtube upload?
