Going to purchase a pit bike. Was wondering before I wait a month to pick it up, which may not even be able to happen, what postage options would be available?

Local moto shop, put in a bike box etc?

one of my workmates shipped a 50cc kids moto cross bike using mainfreight, he strapped it to a pallet using a couple of cheap ratchet tie downs (and posted part of the ignition seperatly to the buyer Paranoid ) cost him less than $100 to the south island

Peter baker road transport or roadstar transport will do it relatively cheap.
(a boxed mountain bike costs under $40 to send auckland-tauranga)

Daily freight might be worth a call, we use them at work for our big/heavy stuff & they seem to be pretty good.
