I might get a light weight bash ring instead of grinding the tabs off.

Have to sort the back axle/dropouts before I worry about pedals. the back wheel does move a bit!

The various stages of my ss
Started as a fully rigid Avanti montari ('98/'99ish), then got suspension forks, then better suspension forks. then better wheels which wouldn't take rim brakes. then a new frame (2005 Kona Caldera) so i could run a disc on the back.

you'll be sweet with a set of chain tugs, thats what I'm using on my DMR/Jeffson with a QR Chris King hub, I'm using a set of Outland ones that you can get from most bike shops for about $12

which reminds me, I do need to sort pics of the DMR / Jeffson (aka The Blue Meanie) with her shiney new build kit
